To mark the 100th Anniversary the committee decided to commission a special fly. The designer is Pete Buckey, who’s first introduction to fishing was on the Southern Mathioya. Pete is now a leading fly fishing guide in the UK, ties bespoke furled leaders, invents and ties flies and is on the verge of being selected for the England fishing team. The Dudu Mia comes in both dry and wet versions and has already accounted for numerous trout on the Test where it was piloted. It is sure to prove a successful fly, not just on our rivers but all over the world.
Kenya Fly Fishers’ Club (KFFC) began life as the Kenya Angling Association in 1919. It became KFFC in 1937. As such it is the oldest fishing club in East Africa. We are a private Members’ Club for the amateur and expert fly fisherman and woman.
