Northern Camp
This tranquil camp is situated at the junction of the Northern Mathioya and the Gichugi Rivers opposite the Ngorano tea collection centre in Muranga county.
The camp features four wooden bandas, each banda has an en-suite wash basin and toilet and is equipped with 2 single beds complete with mattresses, bedside tables and lamps. A jug of hot water is delivered to your banda door in the mornings.
The central ablution block features 1 shower room, 1 bathroom and a separate toilet. Hot water is provided by a traditional kuni boiler
The central building features a large comfortable sitting room and dining room with memorabilia on the walls and a collection of older books and magazines. There is a large fireplace in the lounge with wood provided to keep everyone warm in the cooler evenings.
The kitchen is equipped with a 4 ring/oven gas cooker and plenty of equipment to cover most needs. There is a wash up area supplied with heated water in the kitchen
The store has a large stand up fridge/freezer, ample space for all food and drinks. It also has a good supply of crockery and cutlery. There is an extra stand-up fridge in the dining area if required.
A spacious, recently covered veranda with views over the lush gardens and the river provides one with a very relaxing and peaceful atmosphere, an ideal area for breakfast and lunch.
The camp is connected to the main electricity supply, there is a small back-up generator in case of disruption. The headman keeps a supply of fuel for the generator in camp.

Southern Camp
This tranquil camp is situated on the Southern Mathioya River adjacent to Tutho Village.
The camp features four wooden bandas, with wash basin and toilet. The rooms are equipped with 2 single beds and mattresses, bedside tables and lamps. The central ablution block features 2 showers, 2 baths and a toilet. Hot water is provided from solar water heating with an electric booster back up.
The central building features a large comfortable sitting room and dining room with memorabilia on the walls and in the many historic books. The large fireplace with wood provided keeps everyone warm in the evenings and a place to hang and dry out your fishing attire. The kitchen is equipped with a gas oven and hob and washing up facilities with hot water. The store has a large stand up fridge/freezer, ample space for all food and drinks. It also has all cutlery, crockery, pots and pans.
A spacious veranda with views over the lush gardens and the river provides one with a very relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. The camp has electricity and a back-up generator. The camp staff can assist to buy fuel for the generator when needed, at your cost.
